I work with theatre, film and music, grounded in improvisation, live performance and shared presence. My practice moves between interpretation and original creation, drawing on myth and transformation.

On stage • Minotaur

• Teaterverket Stockholm - September 4-12

The first in a three-part stage work based on the ancient myth about the Minotaur on Crete, set generations before the Trojan war.
Euripides is said to have written a play on this theme, but the the play is lost. Instead I wrote my own script in collaboration with Caroline Kylbergh.Minotaur is a modern drama inspired by the greek tragedies. On stage I play King Minos, and I share the stage with Caroline Kylbergh as Pasifae, Anders Knutsson as Daidalos and Poseidon, and Johanna Ericsson as Kirke and Afrodite. Light and sound by Johan Åsberg, and masks by Karin Magnusson.

Practice

My work centers on creating presence, a shared moment between performers and audience.
I am drawn to myth as a way to speak about transformation and what it means to be human.
I see the stage as a place for attention, encounter and ritual, a way to create a common now.
I work both solo and in ensemble, across theatre, film and music.
